Frequently asked questions
I didn't get my sign-in code
ReviewBuddy signs you in with a one-time code instead of a password. If it hasn't arrived:
- Email: check your spam or promotions folder, and allow a minute or two for delivery. Add goldenduckie.ai to your contacts so future codes land in your inbox.
- Text message: confirm the phone number you entered is correct and has signal.
- Tap "Use a different email / number" to go back and request a fresh code.
Still nothing? Email support@goldenduckie.ai and tell us the address or number you used.
How do I sign in? Do I need a password?
No password needed. Enter your email address or phone number, we send you a 6-digit code, and you type it in. If you're new, that same step creates your account automatically.
How do connections work?
ReviewBuddy shows you reviews from people you trust. Send a connection request to someone; once they accept, their reviews appear in your feed and yours appear in theirs. You only see reviews from yourself and your accepted connections.
Why does the app ask for my location?
Location is used to find businesses near you. It's optional, and you can choose "While Using the App" to keep it limited. If you grant "Always," ReviewBuddy can also remind you to review a place after you've spent time there. You can change this any time:
- iOS: Settings → ReviewBuddy → Location
- Android: Settings → Apps → ReviewBuddy → Permissions → Location
How do I add a photo to a review?
When you write a review, tap the photo option to take a new picture or pick one from your library. Your photo uploads with the review and appears for your connections. You can remove a photo by deleting the review.
Which devices are supported?
ReviewBuddy runs on iPhone (iOS) and Android phones. Make sure you're on the latest version of the app for the best experience.
How do I delete my account and data?
See the "Delete your account" box below, or email privacy@goldenduckie.ai with the subject "Delete my account."
Delete your account
You can permanently delete your ReviewBuddy account and personal data at any time. Email privacy@goldenduckie.ai from the email on your account (or include your phone number) with the subject "Delete my account." We'll verify it's you and remove your profile, reviews, photos, and connections. See our Privacy Policy for details.
